ABOUT CHRIS HART
Chris Hart, a talented singer, songwriter, and producer, discovered his love for music in his hometown of Shelby, NC. Growing up, Chris was surrounded by music, from hearing his mother sing while cooking to family members harmonizing at church. Though initially drawn to drumming, an unexpected moment at a choir rehearsal revealed his gift for singing. Encouraged by the music director, Chris performed “Oh Happy Day” from Sister Act II, uncovering a new passion that would shape his future.
By the age of 13, Chris began pursuing a musical career, learning to record with various software and studying musical greats like Anita Baker, Tank, the Isley Brothers, Jamie Foxx, and Bobby V. His dedication paid off; by 18, his talent in writing, singing, engineering, and arranging was recognized by industry professionals. After graduating from Fayetteville State University in 2014, Chris moved to Atlanta, GA, to further his career. There, he worked with independent artists and established significant industry connections, leading to the release of his highly anticipated debut single “Confidence”.
Chris’s journey has not been without challenges. Moving to Atlanta without connections was daunting, and self-doubt often threatened his progress. However, his faith in God provided strength and guidance. "But God made a way," Chris reflects, emphasizing the importance of trusting in a higher plan and persevering through obstacles. His faith is integral to his music, which aims to spread messages of hope, love, and inspiration.
As the founder of Chris Hart Music, LLC, Chris oversees his music releases and studio projects. While his primary genre is Christian R&B, his versatility allows him to work across various genres. Chris’s music stands out for its authenticity and emotional depth, drawing from real-life experiences to connect with listeners on a profound level.
Chris’s upbringing, marked by family challenges and a rich exposure to oldies music, shaped his character and musical taste. Despite personal struggles, he remained humble and driven. Fond memories of his stepfather playing classics from Luther Vandross, the Gap Band, and Earth, Wind & Fire on the way to the barbershop instilled in him a lasting appreciation for old-school jams and 90’s R&B.
